Oceanext Solution Pvt Ltd (Parent company of www.mypatentlab.com) is a technology startup headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, focused on transforming the Indian IP ecosystem through AI-driven automation and strategic insights.
Founded in May 2025, the company originated from the realization that inventors and IP professionals waste enormous time and effort navigating disjointed platforms for research, filing, analysis, and commercialization. Patent Lab was created as a unified digital platform that bridges this gap.
Our core competencies lie in AI, machine learning, and blockchain integration. Patent Lab is designed and developed by a highly capable team of data scientists, IP attorneys, UX/UI designers, and strategic business developers.
The platform is currently in advanced prototype stage, already deployed online with features such as intelligent patent search, smart analytics, guided filing support, and commercial collaboration tools.
Patent Lab has adopted a product-led growth approach, with a freemium access model to onboard individual users and SMEs, and customizable enterprise solutions for law firms, universities, and corporates.
It will also offer consulting and legal services on a paid basis. With Kolkata's growing reputation as a tech hub and low operational overhead, the startup is well-positioned for sustainable and scalable growth.
The company also aims to be a key enabler in the national innovation pipeline by collaborating with incubators, academic research departments, and government initiatives supporting IP awareness and commercialization.

Founder & CEO
Sharmi DasMishra
A technologist, innovator, and passionate advocate for intellectual property empowerment, Sharmi DasMishra brings over 15 years of rich and diverse experience spanning engineering, global business operations, digital strategy, and intellectual property rights. She is the visionary force behind Patent Lab, a revolutionary AI-powered IP platform designed to make patenting accessible, intelligent, and inclusive for every Indian innovator.
Sharmi holds a First-Class Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management. Her professional journey began in 2006 with Enercon India Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Germany's Enercon GmbH, where she swiftly rose from a Trainee Purchase Engineer to Purchase Manager for the company's Karnataka plant—demonstrating her innate leadership and operational acumen.
In 2008, Sharmi moved to London, where she joined the Shaftesbury Group of Hotels as a Desk Business Manager, quickly climbing to the position of Business Manager within a year due to her exceptional communication skills and strategic prowess in business operations.
Returning to India in late 2010, Sharmi co-founded MizmoEvents.com, a digital startup, where she served as the SEO/SMO head and web strategist. During this period, she honed deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML, Python, and various web technologies—skills that laid the foundation for her later ventures in tech-driven platforms.
Following a maternity break in 2015, she resumed work as a freelance web designer and digital marketing consultant, successfully handling diverse projects and clients across industries.
In 2021, Sharmi's trajectory shifted toward the knowledge economy when she was selected for the prestigious Women Scientist Program under TIFAC, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. During her tenure, she received intensive training in patent search, analysis, and IPR strategy at the Patent Information Centre (PIC), Kolkata.
Now, with the launch of Patent Lab, Sharmi is on a mission to democratize innovation by making patent search, filing, and commercialization not just efficient but also mainstream. Her rare blend of engineering depth, international business exposure, digital technology fluency, and IPR specialization positions her uniquely to lead India's IP transformation.

Sujeet Kumar Mishra
An accomplished operations strategist with 18+ years of cross-industry experience, Sujeet brings deep expertise in procurement, capital project execution, and legal-tech integration. With a foundation in mechanical engineering and international management, he is instrumental in driving Patent Lab's operational scale and legal innovation.
